Based in Montclair, New Jersey, Jeri Isaacson earned her PhD in clinical psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California in 1992. Dr. Isaacson Isaacson has pursued further post-graduate training at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research in New York, earning a certificate in psychoanalysis and becoming a Member and Fellow of the International Psychoanalytic Association.

Dr. Isaacson began her professional training in California, where she worked with children, adolescents and adults at outpatient treatment centers in then area, as well as in private practice. She was a clinical supervisor at the Wright Institute Clinic and at the University of California San Francisco Department of Psychiatry. She received post-doctoral training at the University of California San Francisco, specializing in geriatric psychology.

Dr. Isaacson was licensed in Clinical Psychology in California in 1994. In 2000 she relocated to Montclair, New Jersey, where she maintains a private practice in psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and professional consultation. She received her certificate in Psychoanlysis in 2017, and became a Training and Supervising Analyst of the Internaitonal Psychoanlaytic Asosciation in 2021.

In addition to her private practice, Dr. Jeri Isaacson contributes to the training of future psychoanaysts as faculty and clinical supervisor at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research in New York, where she is also a member of the Board of Directors and Chairs the Committee on Women and Psychoanalysis.
